identify more with, like eleanor roosevelt and jackie kennedy. those are the women whose stories feel close enough to connect with. many of the women in the higher floors, on the state for, they seem like characters from a wonderful story because it was such a long time ago. it is history, and you read it in books. to be in their presence seems a bit disconcerting, but the first ladies, the ones i remember, i remember their real stories, and i can picture their eyes and in an incredible way that makes me think about their challenges and struggles, how they used the space. >> "the first lady's." c-span is teaming up with a historical association for a first of its kind.
